Phantom Fall Fest Scare Actor (Age 16+)
A scare actor will help to provide the guests a unique experience by working in a haunted maze, a scare zone, or as a roaming actor. This position plays an integral part of making the attractions come to life! Please apply if you want to get paid to scare people!
Ride Operator (Age 16+)
The outgoing and safety-oriented Rides Team Members will operate and assist with rides located throughout the park. This position involves a lot of guest interaction and a customer service oriented mindset to provide a wonderful experience to everyone who comes to enjoy a day at the park.
Food & Beverage Cook (Age 16+)
The outgoing and service-oriented Foods Team Member will be assigned to one of the food service areas throughout the park. This position will include multiple duties such as cooking, operating cash registers, and serving guests to ensure everyone has a positive experience when visiting the amusement park.
Bartender (Age 18+)
The Bartender will have a customer service focused attitude and a commitment to ensuring the highest standard of service to provide a positive guest experience.
Park Services (Age 14+)
The friendly Park Services Team is dedicated to providing excellent service. They are also tasked with responding promptly to guest requests.
Guest Services (Age 18+)
Guest services is tasked with assisting guests with any and all needs and questions that may arise. The ideal Guest Services Team member will be experienced in handling complaints and inquiries in a professional but firm manner.
Audio Visual (Age 16+)
The Audio-Visual (AV)Team Member is responsible for ensuring all AV equipment, devices, and systems are accounted for and working properly. They are also responsible for ensuring proper set-up of equipment before events and knowing how to operate, repair, and clean all equipment as necessary.
Base Team (Age 18+)
The customer service-oriented Base Team member is responsible for overall operation and maintenance of the Uniform Room and Reception. These responsibilities include issuing uniforms and ID badges to new employees; processing returned uniforms and ID badges for separated employees; loading money on employee ID badges; selling apparel and other miscellaneous items to employees; and providing laundry services.
Rides Maintenance (Age 18+)
The Rides Maintenance Mechanic Team Member provides support to the Facilities Director to ensure a successful operation. This position is safety focused and has consistent interaction with other maintenance team members in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Line Cook (Age 16+)
The Kitchen Line Cook will be assigned oversight of the Palace Kitchen. This position will be involved in cold and hot food preparation for Doc and Leone’s, the Commissary, picnics, and as necessary for other areas of the park.
Waterpark Maintenance (Age 18+)
The Water Park Maintenance Team Member provides support to the Projects and Construction Director to ensure a successful operation. This position is guest focused and has consistent interaction with all team members in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Lifeguard (Age 15+)
Lifeguards will maintain constant readiness of rescue skills and regularly participate in training sessions to demonstrate physical and mental competency. This includes but is not limited to required skills as prescribed by the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Program and additional skills as necessary for Adventure Bay Water Park operations.
Landscaper (Age 18+)
The Landscaper provides excellent service maintaining the Adventureland Park grounds.
Warehouse (Age 18+)
The Warehouse team member (seasonal position) is responsible for receiving and organizing food and non-food products which are delivered to the park. Team members are also responsible for picking up and delivering food and non-food items to the food stands throughout the park.
Culinary Lead (Age 18+)
The Culinary Team Member (seasonal or year-round position) will be assigned oversight of the food preparation in one or more of the food service areas throughout the park. This team member will collaborate with the Area Manager to ensure proper cooking and serving techniques.
Summer Working Conditions
All positions involve being on your feet and remaining active while interacting with our guests. Positions are indoors, semi-outdoors or completely outdoors.
Most indoor positions are not air conditioned. You must be able to tolerate the heat and humidity of the Iowa summer. No matter what the weather conditions, all positions are vital to developing the fun culture our guests have come to expect here when visiting Adventureland Park.
