Join us Opening Weekend for the start of our 50th Celebration, the beginning of the re-imagined Underground ride experience, fun events, and exclusive Season Passholder early ride time!

•  Start the day bright and early by participating in our Storm the Park 5K – register now.
•  First 1,000 guests on May 18 will receive a commemorative 50th Celebration Pin!
•  Enjoy a free slice of cake from Netflix’s Season 1 Winner, Andrew Fuller (while supplies last).
•  Be one of the first riders on the re-imagined Underground and receive a historical newspaper featuring its unique story.
•  Sunday, May 19, ALL Season Passholders can catch a ride on the Underground. Season Pass early ride  time starting at 10am.

Celebrate five decades of fun by storming the park for a cause on opening day! The Altoona Running Club will host the Storm the Park 5k on Saturday, May 18, kicking off our 50^th celebration. A portion of the proceeds from the race will be donated to Caring Hands Food Pantry in Altoona. Register now to be a part of this exciting event!

Central Iowa's best country music festival is coming to Adventureland June 7 & 8 with headliners Chris Young and Jake Owen. Get the day started early with live music begining at 1 PM on the Adventureland Stage. Click to see full line up and additional information.

Enjoy an extended Birthday Bash in honor of our beloved mascot, Bernie Bernard throughout the entire month of June! Join us for a month-long celebration suitable for all ages, featuring:

• Meet & Greets 12-5pm everyday starting June 14 at his new Doghouse near the Storm Chaser
• Every Wednesday, Season Passholders can visit Main Street Creamery for one free scoop of Birthday Cake Ice Cream!
• Every Thursday, kids can participate in Bernie’s Golden Dog Bone Scavenger hunt with a chance to receive a free gift!
• First 1,000 guests through the gate on June 28 will receive a FREE special edition popcorn bucket that can be refilled once daily at Fun Foods for the entire summer.
• First 1,000 guests through the gate on June 29 will receive a FREE Bernie Bobble Head.

Saturdays in July

Join us on a journey through five decades of Adventureland history! Each week, we'll shine a spotlight on the last five decades that have shaped the park's legacy. Enjoy specials and giveaways, along with musical acts highlighting a different decade every Saturday night followed by an all new light show and fireworks.

Saturday, September 14

Dust off your best lederhosen and raise a glass to our fan-favorite Oktoberfest celebration. This 21+ has become a beloved Iowa tradition. Join us for a day of traditional polka music, games, contests and of course your favorite rides! Select Passholders get in free.

Phantom Fall Fest lets you do Halloween your way! Come early for family-friendly fun, including rides, festive food, and a unique fall atmosphere. Then, when the sun goes down, the Phantom takes screams to the extreme with haunted houses and scare zones. Select Passholders get in free.
